Céad Faoistin ;First confession

Fr. Dooley and Fr. Joe visited the school on Tuesday 1st June to complete First Confession with second and third classes. Our thanks to Mr. Slevin and Ms. Maher for preparing the children for the sacrament. I would also like to thank our Parents Association who organised a treat for the children afterwards.

Cód Nua Iompair; New Code of Behaviour for 1st to 6th classes

Our new Code of Behaviour has been implemented on a pilot basis this term. Piloting the new card system has been very worthwhile and we have made some changes as a result. I will forward the revised version to parents next week.

Turais Scoile:  School Tours

We all waved the juniors and seniors off on their school tour this morning. That was our third school tour this year and 5th and 6th will go on their tour on the 23rd June. Well done to all staff for ensuring that the tours have been organised in a safe and fun way.

Cruinnithe Eolais: Information Meetings for Parents of New Entrants

Information meetings for parents of children who will start with us in junior infants in the coming school year will take place on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th June @2p.m. in the school. Notices have issued to the parents to let them know which day they will attend.

Club Leabhair; Book Club

Mile buíochas to parents who purchased books through the book club. The school earned €180 euros of credit for books which we will put to good use for class libraries.

Cúrsaí Spoirt: Sports News

Sports days will take place for all classes during the month of June. Although there has been no Cumann na mBunscol hurling and Camogie leagues we are delighted to get the opportunity of playing hurling at lunchtime every day with 4th , 5th and 6th classes. Our thanks to Donie Brennan and our teachers who have completed football coaching with 4th , 5th and 6th classes this term. It was a great opportunity to improve the skills in smaller groups.
