Imeachtaí na Nollag: Christmas Activities

Parents are invited to the final school event of 2017 on Friday  @ 11.00a.m. in the school hall.Fr. Hughes  will host a prayer and carol service.There is no need for school bags on the day and children may be picked up from the school immediately afterwards.

Féilire na Scoile: School Calendar

The school closes on Friday 22nd December for the Christmas holidays.at 12p.m. and will re-open on Monday , January 8th 2018@ 8.50a.m.

Rollaithe 2018/2019; Enrolment 2018/2019

Application forms are now available for enrolment for our junior infant class for September 2018. Applications will be accepted during the month of January up to and including the last working Friday in January which is Friday, 26th January. Any queries regarding enrolment or to receive an application form you may e-mail the school; principal@emons.ie

Invitations/Cards

It is school policy that invitations to birthday parties, Christmas cards etc are not distributed in the school premises out of consideration for non-receivers.

Kolbe School  Visit

The children of sixth class will visit Kolbe school in Portlaoise on Tuesday morning next at 10.30a.m. to welcome Santa to the school and sing some Christmas carols.

Paired Reading 

Ms. Hooban is organising paired reading at the moment for junior and senior infants. The children love the opportunity of reading with a pupil from either fifth or sixth class. Tionól ; Assembly 

At assembly on Friday the children of sixth class introduced us to the third week of Advent.It was a very musical assembly . Ms. Maher’s class treated us to a song as did Ms. Allen’s class .Mr. Slevin’s class sang Rudolf as Gaeilge and Mr. Costelloe’s class also had a very entertaining Irish song . Mathletics silver certificates were presented to 17 children and Aisling Loughnane received a gold certificate . Well done to all children for their efforts in Mathletics . Chess 

Chess is ongoing with 4th and 6th at the moment and we hope to start chess with 3rd and 5th in the New Year .
