Dear Parents,
I hope you and your family are well at this time.
Grandparents Day Final Call
Well done to the children who have completed their messages for their Grandparents and sent it on. If you did not get the chance to do so please send on your message on or before Friday 22nd May. So click here for a template. The template contains a section for a picture of your grandparents and the second section provides an area for your child to write a note/ message to their grandparents. When they have completed the task and are happy with their efforts just send on the finished page to principal@emons.ie .
New Junior Infants
We are compiling a pack for new junior infant parents and we hope to distribute that next week. I also hope to set up a virtual meeting with parents in June to go through the information and answer any queries parents may have. Our support teachers are currently making plans for the new school year and our new juniors will be part of those plans. However, if there are any specific issues that you need to identify to us please contact Mrs. Fennelly this week. E-mail her at florence@emons.ie.
School Calendar
The school calendar for the school year 2020/’21 has been published and is on our website in the bottom right hand corner of the home page. Parents should note that this calendar is provisional and is subject to change according to public health advice regarding the Covid19 pandemic. The start date for the new school year is Thursday 27th August.
Collection of books from children
As you know we operate a book rental scheme in the school and one of the jobs that we do at this time of year is assess the condition of the books, collect them and then order for the coming school year. We hope to collect books from parents on the week beginning June 8th. We will revert with the arrangements later.
School Uniform
As you are aware our Parents Association and staff have been working on a new school uniform. This has been complicated slightly by the current circumstances. However, we will have news for you next week on same.
Kind regards,
Cyril Duggan
