We had graduation on today Friday last where we celebrated the end of the year for our 6th class. I would like to compliment them on their achievements during the course of this year and others, in many different spheres of school life.
Our thanks to Ms. Greene for organising the graduation and to the Parents Association for organising the refreshments.
The staff and I would like to wish them the best of luck on their onward journey. With sixth class departing we are also losing some parents. A special thank you to them for their support and involvement in school life over the duration of their child’s education here in Emo.
Parents Association Notices
The Cake and Book sale was held on Friday 26th of May and the Treasurer confirmed that €1,215 was raised on the day.
Due to the generosity of our Parents Association we have had Speech and Language therapist Sarah Gorman working in the school during the last term. She has assessed pupils, met with parents and provided suitable individual programmes for the children.
Blúiríní:
- We are organising and checking our school books at the moment. Please check at home for any school books, either books on the book rental scheme or supplementary readers that you may have and return them today or tomorrow.
- The ice cream van was an extremely popular visit on Wednesday last and our thanks to the Parents Association for organising same.
Focal Buíochas
We are very grateful for the help and support of so many parents in our school. This has long been a hallmark of Emo National School. A special word of thanks to the Parents’ Association and Board of Management of the school who do tremendous work in the background.
Míle buíochas to our teachers and ancillary staff in the school for all their dedication, help and support over the year.
Finally, on behalf of everybody in Emo NS, may I take this opportunity to say well done to all our pupils. They should be very proud of the work that they have done this year. We look forward to meeting you on the 31st August. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy a lovely summer break.
