Third Class have been learning about the Normans and the castles they built in Ireland. As part of this, the children explored how drawbridges worked and learned about pulleys as a type of simple machine in Science. They designed and created their own model drawbridges and tested how the pulley system helped to raise and lower the bridge. Next, the children will paint and decorate their castles to complete their projects.
