The boys and girls in 5th and 6th class had a wonderful time with the team from Inland Fisheries Ireland.
The children learned, identified and handled some trout, tench, roach and European eels.
They examined a kick sample from the River Triogue and used a water pollution indicator to decide on the water quality.
The children really enjoyed the trip to Emo and learning about the vast eco system of the lake.
